Course objectives
The course acquaints students with the basic concepts, design and architecture of distributed systems, its operation and management, distributed databases, distributed protocols and techniques typical for distributed computing. In the context of distributed computing the main topics are causality, exclusive access, deadlock solutions, outages protection, and security.

    5. Synchronization in a distributed system.
    6. Topological tasks.
    7. Routing the message flow.
    8. Transaction processing.
    9. Distributed database systems.
    10. Identification of objects in a distributed system.
    11. Distributed shared memory.
    12. Remote booting processes.
    13. Resources management.
