Course objectives
The course objective is focused on the problems of transportation in logistics and its relationship to the marketing. Understanding of alternative transportation modes and intermodal transport. Understanding of the basic terms and approaches used in logistics. Explaining the impact of deregulation on shippers and carriers. Explanation of the issues of transportation cost and performance measurement in the transport sector. Understanding of the international dimensions of transportation and major transportation management activities. Identification of key technologies and the importance of information for transportation.
