Syllabus
  • 1. Contributory organizations in the national economy Basic characteristics of contributory organizations, definition of their position in the national economy, reasons for their establishment. Differences between non - governmental non - profit organizations and contributory organizations. Explanation of basic concepts that are associated with the non-profit sector. 2. Public organizations Public sector and its characteristics, public organizations and their importance, public service, basic characteristics of organizational units of the state and contributory organizations. State contributory organizations and contributory organizations of territorial self-governing units. 3. Contributory organization defined in laws Legal regulation of contributory organizations (establishment, rights, obligations, termination). Act No. 128/2000 Coll., On Municipalities (Municipal Establishment), as amended, Act No. 129/2000 Coll., On Regions (Regional Establishment), as amended, Act No. 250/2000 Coll. , on budgetary rules of territorial budgets, as amended, Act No. 218/2000 Coll., on budgetary rules and on the amendment of some related acts, as amended. Special laws relating to contributory organizations. 4. Management of contributory organizations and their functioning Mission of the contributory organization, long-term management of the organization, plans of activities of the contributory organization, director of the contributory organization, powers and duties of statutory bodies, personnel management of the contributory organization, economic side of the organization, marketing of the organization (external and internal communication). 5. Financial management of contributory organizations. Financial management of the contributory organization: financial relations determined by the founder, property of the contributory organization, economic result, control of management in the contributory organization. Sources of financing of contributory organizations: public and non-public (income from secondary activities, donations and fundraising. Statement of subsidies and applications for financial support. Act on Financial Control. 6. Main activities of contributory organizations Characteristics of selected industries in which contributory organizations are formed: education, science and research, healthcare. Definition of activities according to relevant laws.

lectures, seminars, team work, presentations by students, semestr work
Assessment methods
Requirements on the student: an active participation in seminars associated with solution of complex case studies from management of contributory organizations and an elaboration of the whole semester work. Assessment methods: Semester work, based on active participation in seminars (30% of evaluation), activity in seminars (20%), written exam (50% of evaluation). The overall evaluation of the student is given by the sum of the obtained points. The minimum success rate is 60% of their total number of points.
