Course objectives
The course focuses on the application of general knowledge of the study program in mathematical modeling in the chosen area of application. Independent work of the students is emphasized. The area of application is mathetical approaches to the shape of curves and surfaces in three-dimensional space and in Newtonian spacetime. Modelling software and the possibility of 3D printing will be used.

  • Work on assigned topics.
    3D modelling software.
    3D printing.
    Bézier curves.
    Non-uniform rational B-splines.
    Shape spaces.
    Statistical descriptions of shape.
    Standard MPEG-4 for the description of humanoid faces.
    The description of dynamics using curves and surfaces in spacetime.
