Cílem cvičení je podrobný rozbor praktických postupů k látce probírané na přednášce Diferenciální geometrie I a osvětlení jejich méně triviálních aspektů za účelem prohloubení znalostí a dovedností studentů s důrazem na jejich samostatnou práci. Při řešení některých úloh se počítá s využitím software pro symbolické výpočty (Maple).
