OPF: CVABPCMC International Tourism (summer 2024)
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the status and importance of tourism in the international arena. Attention will also be paid to the basic terminology and measurement methods of international tourism statistics, international organizations and private actors in international tourism, the regional distribution of international tourism, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the role of international tourism in the European context.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - define the basic concepts of international tourism;
- summarise the main features of international tourism;
- compare the regional distribution of international tourism;
- list selected UNESCO sites in international tourism.

2 tests in course teaching (20 %), seminar work with presentation (10 %), condition of the approach to the examinationis 60% presence on seminars (10 %), written exam (60 %).
