In accordance with the focus of their doctoral thesis the graduates will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of relativistic physics, astrophysics and cosmology, elementary particle physics, quantum theory of molecules and computer simulations. In addition to this in-depth knowledge the graduates will learn how to apply mathematically formulated physical laws to problems of physics in the field of basic and applied research and computer simulations of physical, resp. other processes. They will acquire the ability to precisely formulate ideas and results of scientific work, furthermore the ability to communicate actively in English and passively in other foreign languages. They will become highly adaptive, able to work in the team and solve practical tasks in a creative manner. They will gain teaching experience in university education.

The graduate will find employment as a researcher and pedagogue at universities and research institutions engaged in research in the field of theoretical physics, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. It is possible to expect immediate obtaining of post-doctoral positions at cooperating foreign institutions (SISSA in Trieste, University of Oxford, etc.). The acquired knowledge and skills can be applied very effectively also at research institutes of industrial companies dealing with modeling of physical processes (e.g., in hydrodynamics, thermodynamics, elasticity).
