Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the main tendencies and trends in the modern World literature in 20th century and on its turn.
Syllabus
  • Modernism and avant-gardes in the World literature in the beginning of the 20th century
    Modernist novel (e. g. J. Joyce, V. Woolf, M. Proust)
    Movements in the world literature since the 2nd world war (existencialism, neorealism, nozuveau roman, theatre of the absurd, beat generation, magic realism)
