Studenti absolvují praxi v knihovně, nebo informačním středisku dle vlastního výběru, v délce 21 dnů. Smyslem je, aby prošli veškerými odbornými činnostmi ve zvolené instituci, tj. od vlastní akvizice dokumentů, přes jmenné, věcné a předmětové zpracování dokumentů, až k informačím službám.
