Course objectives
The aim of the course is to summarize and strengthen more frequent grammatical phenomena aimed especially at the language used in the studied field both written and oral. The students will further enrich their professional vocabulary and language structures applied in professional situations in all the areas of tourism. Emphasis will be put on independent presentations and professional attitude. At the same time, the students will learn professional vocabulary in the area of tour operator and travel agency.
Syllabus
  • 1. Grammar revision: Preterit and perfect tense. Simple sentence - word order.
    New grammar: Mutual position of adverbials. Some types of subordinate clauses.
    2. Grammar revision: Declension of nouns. Possessive and interrogative pronouns.
    New grammar: Declension of nouns (with definite and indefinite article). Interrogative pronouns. Verbs holen - bringen - tragen and probieren - anprobieren.
    3. Grammar revision: Declension of personal pronouns. Indefinite pronouns. Possibilities of expressing negative in German.
    New grammar: Indefinite pronouns. Pronouns einer, keiner, meiner. Translation of Czech ještě, ne, už ne. Adverbs with irgend- / nirgend-.
    4. Grammar revision: Prepositions with dative. Prepositions with accusative. Prepositions with dative and accusative. Cardinal numbers.
    New grammar: Ordinal numbers. Date. Adverbs of direction.
