Course objectives
Web sites are of varying quality. To fulfill the needs of the various interest groups, several things are needed: an understanding of user needs (as well as owner's needs), good information architecture, findability, measurement and improvement of the site content as well as design (whether continuous or more radical). The course introduces concepts important for redesign. Students discuss in their presentations and discussion how to improve various sites. Syllabus
  • Usability, credibility, findability, accessibility, and other aspects. Discussion of tools for analysis and evaluation of web sites and techniques which can be used in redesign (e.g. A/B testing).
