- Course objectives
- The course deals with contemporary linguistic and communicatively pragmatic tendencies in the press, journalism and electronic mass media. It is supplemented by some of the German and Austrian newspapers characteristics. The seminar focuses on the linguistic analysis of specific newspaper texts and linguistic curiosities of newspaper genres. 1. Einteilung der Massenmedien, charakteristische Merkmale, Kommunikationsbereiche 2. Pressesprache 3. Alltagssprache, geschrieben vs. gesprochen 4. Wechsel im Ausdruck, Bildliche Sprache 5. Wertende Sprache, Phraseologismen 6. Fach- und Fremdwörter, Dialektismen, Neologismen 7. Briefwechsel Brief, E-Mail, SMS 8. Chat-Kommunikation 9. Sprachökonomie und Medien 10.
