- Course objectives
- The main goal of the seminar is to acquaint students with problems early and high Middle Ages in Western Europe, we understand the Rhine region and southern Europe, particularly Slavic ethnic group. We begin the interpretation of history after the collapse of the Roman Empire, the students meet with selected chapters of political and economic development, especially show local emergency works, forgeries and oldest castles. Interesting are also the fate of the Slavic settlement in Pannonia, especially residence of Prince Pribina or Priwiny in Zalaváru at Blaténské Lake. We will also pay attention to the beginnings of the ancient states of Croats and Bulgarians. We show the common roots of jewelry in Slavic Central European area.
