- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about the importance of preserving archaeological heritage for future generations. Clarifying the nature of the transformation of archaeological finds in archaeological collections outlines the mechanism of formation of archaeological collections "in fondo", which is related to the rescue of primary sources in the field and subsequent processing of the institutions of the museum type. The collection, storage and protection of archaeological heritage in museums is therefore crucial for the study of the earliest history of human society and its use for presentation and educational purposes.

- 1 / Archaeological heritage and its social importance , the issue of protection of the archaeological heritage and archaeological heritage preservation system in the Czech Republic , its structure, functions and legal framework;
2 / Archaeological movable and immovable monuments and archaeological finds ways of acquiring , organizing and types of archaeological research, and exkavační postexkavační stages of research, documentation and basic treatment of archaeological material;
3 / Ownership of archaeological finds and their storage in a museum nemuzejních types of organizations, basic aspects of collecting activities in the organization of museum work in the Czech Republic , types of museums, their mission and the provision of public services;
4 / The main principles of selection and museum Thesauration the creation of archaeological collections, historical aspects of the archaeological collections and the issue of archaeological work in the museum, working on a code of ethics archaeologist and museum curator;
5 / Characteristics of museum collections and criteria for selecting and classifying objects of an archaeological nature collections, sub-collections and museum collection objects , a central repository of collections and legislative protection of the collections;
