- Course objectives
- Lectures reflect history of the theatre since the beginning of 20th century till the end of WWII. Attention will be focused on both the aesthetic and philosophical conception of theatre and drama in different periods, but also the development of forms of staging, set design and acting. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the history of world theatre in a variety of historical and cultural context. Students should have a broad understanding of the dramatic forms and theatre conventions.
