Course objectives
Students will be introduced to basic concepts in the spa, with its meaning and origins of natural healing resources people. Next, get an overview of the beginnings of spas in ancient Greece and Rome, which is considered the cradle of spas. The aim is to acquaint students with the use of natural resources in various spas, personalities and therapeutic procedures used by the past. Students will learn about the history and development of spa care in the Czech Republic and the world. Also get an overview of the current state of spa treatment in selected countries.
