Course objectives
The aim of the course is to inform the students of the organisation and management of tourism in the Czech Republic on all the levels. The students will get acquainted in detail with the most important organisations in the area of tourism, especially with the activities of Czech Tourism and professional associations. They will also get an overview of the concept of state policy considering tourism in the Czech Republic. They will be informed of individual strategic documents considering tourism on the level of state, region as well as particular municipalities. They will learn to work with statistical data and to employ them for further development of tourism. Attention will also be paid to tourism authorities and organisations in the world. Contents: 1. Tourism management in the Czech Republic 2. Czech Tourism 3. Tourism associations 4. Concept of state policy considering tourism in the Czech Republic 5. State programme of tourism support 6. National development plan 7. Programme of regional and municipal development 8. Regional development agencies and information centres 9. Tourism statistics 10. Tourism authorities and organisations in the world
