- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to apprise students with selected documents of Czech and European manuscript and printed production. They with study development of script, illumination and illustration in the Czech and European society. Students will use mainly digitized documents (eg digital libraries Manuscriptorium, Kramerius or Europeana).
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- use special terminology from the field of paleography, codicology and librarianship,
- be familiar with the production of writing materials, illustrations and bookbinding,
- orientate oneself in the development of writing in the Czech lands,
- work with digitized materials (reading and comprehension). - Syllabus
