- Cíle předmětu
- This course aims to provide a scholarly examination of Poland's historical trajectory during the 20th and 21st centuries. It seeks to explore the character of Poland's rebirth and its position in the interwar world, the dynamics of Polish affairs during World War II, the role of the People's Republic of Poland within the socialist states after 1945, and the specific economic, social, and political developments that shaped Poland in the 20th and early 21st centuries. Additionally, the course will delve into the systemic and economic transformations that occurred during the Third Republic of Poland, analyzing its Euro-Atlantic course. The presentation of various historiographical positions towards the Second Polish Republic, the People's Republic of Poland, and the Third Polish Republic will foster a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
