Course objectives
Objectives: The instruction will be focused on managing phonemic as well as graphical aspects of Russian (Cyrillic training, pronunciation, stress and intonation), and furthermore on the adoption of a vocabulary for simple expression in common situations of everyday life, the acquisition of basic knowledge of Russian grammar. The course includes training in listening, reading, text comprehension and speech skills. Students also acquire basic knowledge of Russian life and institutions. Teaching Methods Dialogue in the form of an interview, working with texts - reading and listening. Emphasis is placed on practising the subject matter with the main focus on developing speech skills. The instruction is based on the principles of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Acquired Competences: Students will be able to read, write in Cyrillic without major problems, respond to heard and read stimuli, handle basic grammatical structure, and converse in the everyday situations.
