- Course objectives
- The aim of subject is to integrate student´s knowledge level of the lexical, grammatical and syntactical with an emphasis on the communicative function and harmonious development of all four language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking). It appears from the fact that the level of language competence of students admitted to the faculty is different and therefore they are grouped according to their level of knowledge (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
- Syllabus
- The subject will focus on the following topics:
- Pronunciation.
- Vocabulary (The ability to look up words in the dictionary, choose the correct translation equivalent. The ability to derive a word created by the prefixes, suffixes, folding, with a devolved meaning in the context of the sentence).
- Grammar:
o The nouns (basic rules of use of article, expressing quantity, plural).
o Adjectives and adverbs (comparison of adjectives and adverbs, formation of adverbs, position of adverbs in the sentence, a definite article of the superlative - advanced).
o Pronouns (demonstrative, interrogative, personal and subjective in the present form, the possessive individual and a dependent, relative, indefinite).
o Numerals (basic, ordinary, multiple, eras, dates).
o Verbs (regular, irregular, modal can, imperative, gerund. For advanced then the passive voice, past tense, present perfect tense).
o Prepositions.

- The subject ends with the credit which students gain by active participation in lessons and successful completion of the final test. Students have a mandatory 75% attendance.
