- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide the students with outline about functioning of EU, means of decision taking and legal regulations of EU including supplied by structural funds of EU. The students will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of these structural funds (European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF) and Cohesion Fund (CF)- The demands of EU will be introduced up to level of processing of projects conditioning acquisition of resources from structural funds of EU. After successful graduation, the students will orientate in institutions of EU and in the system of its functioning and current topics of EU as well as orientate in the system of support and suitable programmes in the frame of EU and the Czech republic. They will learn about the system of implementation of structural funds and will be able to identify suitable programmes of support, create complete proposal of request for support, prepare supplementary documents of the request (especially analysis of viability), understand key factors of the success of projects, be able to work independently on project application, have experience from team work, respect deadlines and client´s programme requests better and respect copyright, be able to orientate in life cycle of the project and identify key steps/tasks in respected phases.

- 1. European Union - economic and political factors, institutions, principal agreements, EU authorities, decisive processes, economic and monetary union
2. EU policies (regional policy, structural funds of EU and other programs and initiatives of EU)
3. System of functioning of supports of EU and in the Czech republic
4. The Czech republic and EU - program period. Regional policy and programmes of development of regions in the Czech republic
5. Valid legal rules
6. Structural funds (authorities, structures, documents, work with information in global network (portal EU, other sources)
7. Creation and management of non-investment and investment projects
8. Request for support from Structural Fund (project intention, project application, budget, supporting documentation, study of viability and other documents)
9. Information and communication technologies - outline of available applications for project creation
10. Project management (specifics for management of European projects, role of project team, project management)
11. Multiplication effect and project tenability (project brainstorming, preparations of projects intention, selection of programme, selection of partners)
12. Complete analysis for preparation and management of the project
