Course objectives
The aim of the course is to develop communication skills in English (written and spoken) in the field of medical communication, to introduce students to professional terminology and situations that may arise in the midwifery profession. The course includes practice in basic language skills (primarily speaking, but also listening, reading, and translating) with emphasis on comprehension of professional text and the ability to communicate in situations specific to the health care profession. Upon completion of the course, the student will be familiar with common medical terms, medical documentation, and be able to respond in a variety of situations relevant to the profession.

    3. Anatomy of woman reproductive system
    4. Gynaecological examination I (admission, personal data, medical history)
    5. Gynaecological examination II (preventive care, observation, instruments)
    6. Gynaecological Health problems (common health problems, symptoms, illnesses)
    7. Hospital (directions, departments, equipment, team)
    8. Hospitalisation in gynaecology (room, schedule, situations)
    9. Gynaecological surgery (types, process, anaesthetics, post-operation care)

Assessment methods
The course is completed by credit, which will take the form of a seminar presentation - a given medical topic prepared in the form of a PPT or a frontal/interactive oral presentation. The condition for the award of credit is at least 80% attendance at the class.
