Course objectives
During the lecture, students are introduced into the issue and importance of physical activity and physical health education for a group of individuals in senior age. They will get acquainted with basic terminology and especially with specific methodical examples of exercises with regard to the health status of seniors and their individual needs in the subject area.
Syllabus
  • 1. Physical education - characteristics, basic terminology.
    2. Health Physical Education - Characteristics, basic terminology.
    3. Characteristics of the senior in terms of physical involution, basic health problems of the locomotive apparatus.
    4. Health benefits of physical activity.
    5. Stages of motivational readiness to change in the area of physical activity.
    6. Exercise tools and tools (balancing aids, booster aids, etc.) - demonstration and possibilities of their use.
    Individual samples and methodology focus on areas of the neck, deep back muscles, lumbar, lower limbs, torso, abdominal muscles and lower limbs.
