- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to provide students with essential knowledge in banking. The students will gradually get acquainted with the role of banks in the economy, the role and instruments of banking regulation and supervision, the detailed characteristics of assets and liabilities of banks, banks´ performance and its evaluation. The attention will be paid to the issue of illegal banking practices and products of investment banking and off-balance sheet banking. All topics discussed are related to the development in the Czech banking sector.
