Course objectives
The course aims to familiarize students with the definition of powers between the Member States and the European Union in promoting sub-economic policies. Students are gradually introduced to selected exclusive, shared and co-ordinated economic policies. The course continues and deepens the knowledge that students obtained in General economics, the European Union and the Economic policy.

  • 1. The role of economic in the integration process. International economic cooperation in terms of globalisation of the world economy. Supranational and cooperative elements in the economic policies of the Economic Union
    2. Financing of EU economic policies
    3. The common trade policy
    4. The common agricultural policy
    5. The common transport policy and the common fisheries policy
    6. Economic, social and territorial cohesion in the EU
    7. Economic and monetary union
    8. Competition in the EU
    9. The concept and forms of industrial policy in the EU. Research and development in the EU
    10. The EU social and employment policy
    11. EU environmental policy. Consumer protection in EU
    12. EU development and co-operation policy
    13. Economic Policy of the Czech Republic before and after joining the EU
