- Course objectives
- The aim is to familiarize students with the importance of human resource management and with the role of HR in the company. To point out the new role of personnel management in the world and in the country. To put emphasis on systemic interpretation and practicing basic program of personnel management in our businesses and organizations. To achieve mastery of basic methods and techniques applied in human resources management in enterprises and institutions with emphasis on the moral aspects and cooperative partnership between employees and employers.

- 1. Human resources management and its role in the company. Corporate culture and organizational structures
The concept and importance of human resource management. Human resources management tasks. Personnel policy and personnel strategies. Strategic human resources management. The role and importance of human resource management in the company. The relationship between corporate philosophy and corporate culture. Levels of corporate culture. Corporate culture and subcultures. Strong and weak corporate culture as a result of the management-employee relationship. Types of organizational structures. People in organizational structure.
2. Personnel planning and job analysis
Purpose and main tasks of personnel planning and its position in business planning. The process of personnel planning in the company. Estimation of human resources needs. Planning of partial personnel activities. Human resource planning subjects and their tasks. Time dimension of personnel planning. Job definition, tasks and terminology of job analysis. Job description and specifications. Sources of information and methods of finding information about jobs. Methods of analysis.
3. Recruitment and selection of employees
Characteristics and tasks of recruiting. Internal and external resources of workers. Recruitment process and its steps. Tools and methods of recruiting employees and their stabilization in the company. Relation of recruitment to other personnel processes. Staff selection tasks. Assessment methods of candidates. Selection criteria, validity and reliability of factors applied to predict successful work performance. Personnel selection phase. Principles and methods of staff selection. Relation of selection to hiring.
4. Orientation, deployment and dismissal of workers. Safety and Health protection during work
Orientation of employees as an adaptation and educational activity. Content of orientation areas and time schedule. Deployment and staffing. Forms of staff deployment. Reducing the number of employees and its methods. Outplacement and possibilities of its use. Obligations of the employer in ensuring health and safety. Rights and obligations of employees, training of employees in health and safety.
5. Management strategies and remuneration policy and managerial evaluation of employees
Remuneration strategy and policy. Non-analytical and analytical methods of work evaluation. Market valuation of labor. Company payroll system. Wage-generating factors. Wage system structure. New tendencies in remuneration. Subject and evaluation criteria. Employee evaluation process. Subjects of evaluation. Employee evaluation methods. Forms of communicating evaluation results to employees. Problems and errors in employee evaluation.
6. Business education and development of managers. Personnel information system
The place and importance of corporate education in the human resources management system. Corporate education system. Identification of educational needs. Business education planning. Educational methods and possibilities of their application. Evaluation of educational results and effectiveness of the educational program. Development of managers - possibilities and limitations. Career plans. Conditions for effective operation of PIS. Manual and computer PIS and legal protection of personal data.
