Course objectives
The subject is connected with the course Law and Commercial Law. It focuses on understanding and gain knowledge in the field of business activities in international trade. Students are acquainted with the key questions of legal regulations in the field of international trade in the conditions of free market economy including connection of management in CR to international trade.

    1. Characterization and application of international trade law. International private law. International element in contract. Direct and collision method of legislation.
    2. International, community and national normative sources of law in international trade. Procedure of law unification. Supporting sources of law. Lex Mercatoria. International business customs. Form and model contracts. Commercial terms. Delivery terms. Private principles of international contracts.
    3. International distributorship contract. Contract for exclusive distribution. International agency contract. International franchising contract.
    4. Terms of business activities in the international trade. Business activities of foreign companies inland, business activities of domestic companies abroad. Joint Ventures. Establishment of a branch company in abroad. Establishment of European community form of company. Acquisition. Company merger.
    5. Conditions of application of United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Basic characterization of convention.
    6. Draft agreement and acceptance. The Essentials and regular provisions of contract on international sale of goods. Model contract on sale. Currency clause. Arrangements for restrictions on resale.
    7. The rights and obligations of the seller and the buyer in connection with the contract on sale according to United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
