- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is teaching and practical execution of process and value oriented business models and their simulation by means of software agents. Detailed process and value oriented modeling concepts will be exercised. The students will get acquainted with the simulation environment MAREA designed and implemented within and EU sponsored project by Reatechnology Copenhagen.

- 1. Business process definition. Business process life cycle in a company.
2. Basics of system modeling.
3. Process models and their formal description.
4. Value-oriented business process models.
5. Advanced methods of business process modeling.
6. Introduction to simulations, reasons for simulation of business processes.
7. Data collection and evaluation, generation of input data by means of statistic methods.
8. Multi-agent systems for business process simulations.
9. JADE platform - introduction.
10. MAREA - basic architecture.
11. MAREA - simulations management.
12. MAREA - agent configuration.
13. MAREA - case studies and examples of simulations.
