- Cíle předmětu
- The goal of the subject is to develop students´ linguistic, communicative, socio-cultural and intercultural skills as a preparation for student´s and professional mobilities during which students can face misunderstandings, conflicts, problems with adaptation to target cultures and various stereotypes and prejudice. The students will be able to use their skills on their future job positions in public sector institutions and in social work. The main output of the course in creating of a portfolio comprising documents related to the recruitment procedure, including self-reflection evaluation as the basis for the design of an own case study and its presentation.
- Výstupy z učení
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have developed linguistic, communicative, socio-cultural, and intercultural competencies necessary for academic and professional mobility. Students will be prepared to reflect critically on their own cultural identities, manage intercultural misunderstandings, and respond constructively to stereotypes, prejudice, and adaptation challenges in international contexts, particularly within public sector institutions and social work environments.
Students will be able to:

Apply effective linguistic and communicative strategies in intercultural and professional contexts.

Analyze socio-cultural and intercultural differences and their impact on communication and cooperation.

Identify and critically reflect on stereotypes, prejudice, and potential sources of intercultural conflict.

Demonstrate self-awareness and reflective thinking related to personal and professional development for mobility.

Prepare professional documents relevant to recruitment procedures (e.g., CV, motivation letter, portfolio).

Design and present an individual case study based on self-reflection and intercultural experience.
