  • Rules and Conditions for the Creation of a Study Plan
The ECTS credit system is used.

The length of the semester is 13 weeks, one teaching hour lasts 45 minutes.

Rules for creating study plans A student is required to obtain a total of 120 credits during his studies. It is necessary to obtain 97 credits for compulsory subjects and at least 11 credits for compulsory elective subjects. 10 percent of the credits are allocated for elective subjects that the student chooses from the SU offer according to his specialization and interest (or subjects completed during a study abroad can be counted).

Study plans contain 8 basic theoretical subjects of the profiling basis; in them, students acquire core knowledge of methodology and selected segments of linguistics and literary studies, which build on the knowledge acquired in the bachelor's degree and develop and supplement them. Furthermore, the study plan contains 11 other subjects of the profiling basis. The subjects of the profiling foundation cover the vast majority of the items listed in the study objectives and the graduate profile and the areas of the state final examination are derived from them. The subjects of the profiling foundation also include 3 diploma seminars, which ensure careful and thorough preparation of the student for writing and defending the final thesis. The study plan includes one mandatory subject in English and allows the choice of other subjects in a world language. Compulsory elective subjects supplement and deepen the knowledge of students and allow the student to choose an appropriate focus, his future study or professional profiling.

The study load is evenly distributed (in the form of recommended years for completing the subjects) and also allows the student to concentrate on preparing the diploma thesis.
