Abstract

V originále

This paper analyses the portrayal of racial and ethnic minorities and their representation in two vampire novel series and their TV adaptations. The Vampire Diaries by L. J. Smith and Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood by Charlaine Harris. The main attention is paid to the stereotypical representation of various races and ethnic groups in these popular young-adult series within the context of the southern popular culture.
