The aim of the paper is to present public administration as a managerial organization which puts a lot of demands on its employees, respectively on officials in public administration. In today's globalized society, the boundaries between the public and private sectors are mutually intertwined. One of the paper´s partial aims is to present the public administration as an organization that is managerial, meanwhile this manner of management applies also to its staff. The difficulty of this profession, both in terms of knowledge and psychology, is often wrongly criticized by civil society from the point of view of the lay public.
