For the purpose of this paper, four output measurable indicators have been selected – the openness of the economy, export performance, transformation performance, and relative strength of specialization, namely in four economies (Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland). The aim of the paper was to find out the similarity between these indicators according to the size of the economies and their dynamization. Based on this, two research questions were defined and were investigated using the cluster analysis method between 1995 and 2017. It was found that the size of the economy did not affect the similarity of competitiveness indicators, but on the other hand, they developed positively in the monitored period. ER -
