Abstract
This paper focuses on the industrial tourism in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The aim is to assess the prerequisites for industrial tourism in the region. SWOT analysis and observation methods are used in this paper. Industrial tourism is concentrated in the city of Ostrava and provides opportunities to increase attendance to the area. The main problem of industrial tourism is the financial stringency to invest of repairs of the selected monuments. The research results contain prerequisites for industrial tourism in the region, may lead to increased attendance. The research was conducted from January to November 2016.
