The role of tourism in the Czech economy is significantly growing. It has a positive impact on economic growth, employment and job creation. The article deals with globalization changes in tourism, in the context of historical development of the number of employed and the number of business structures. Based on the available data, the changes in Willis of economic contributions and employment in tourism, due to globalization and economic crisis, are decsribed as well as looking for optimal solutions of the negative effects of globalization on employment and business in tourism.
