The significance of a road infrastructure from the perspective of businesses is an important factor in a regional analyzes. The Moravian-Silesian Region (MSR) in the Czech Republic or its border districts are a model environment for the analysis of structurally affected regions. Importance of the environment is determined by the nature of the industry, by post communist development and by dislocation in Europe. General contexts are studied in this particular regional environment. This article was written within the project "Analysis of the business environment in the region Karvina". The main source of the research was the dissertation "Logistic Infrastructure Importance in Border Area of Moravian-Silesian Region". The aim of the dissertation was to demonstrate connections and relationships between the quality of the road infrastructure and business activities, which could be used for recommendations for the future direction of the road infrastructure development in the region.
