Es geht um eine Annäherung an das Prosawerk des Autors Jochen Beyse (geb. 1949), der so ziemlich in vorderster Front über die Möglichkeit gegenwärtigen Schreibens überhaupt reflektiert. Abgesehen von einer kurzen biographischen Notiz vollzieht sich die Annäherung in vier Schritten: Fremd, gefährlich leben, Schreibszenen, Griff der Marionette nach dem Faden.

The essay addresses some prose works by Jochen Beyse (b.1949), whoin a quite unique manner reflects the possibilities (and conditions of possibility) of contemporary writing as such. In addition to a short biographical note the main issues are: strangers and strangeness,living dangerously (after Nietzsche), scenes and settings of writing, the puppet reaching out for the string.
