TY - JOUR ID - 43320 AU - Duda, Danuta - Turečková, Kamila PY - 2020 TI - Instrument to Support Brownfield Solutions in the Czech Republic: EU and Public Administration PB - VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Sokolská třída 33, 702 00 Ostrava 1, Czech Republic CY - Ostrava, Czech Republic SN - 9788024844558 KW - brownfield EU KW - public administration KW - local government KW - state administration N2 - This paper deals with the issue of brownfields which is a timeless phenomenon associated with a number of undesirable effects that are determined by the involvement of the public sector and organizations in their elimination. At the highest level, these are central state administration bodies, at the level of mesoregions they are higher territorial self-governing units. In the context of the Czech Republic as a member of the European Union, this entity can also be considered as fully relevant. These institutions declare their relationship to brownfields in their documents and other activities. The aim of the paper is to analyze and synthesize the state of formal and practical involvement of these three entities in the Czech Republic in order to solve problems following from the existence of brownfields in their own territory. The fulfilment of the content of the paper is based on the research of secondary sources and their analysis in relation to the defined topic of the research. ER -
