Článek představuje pokus o rekonstrukci pohledu na někdejší domovinu u odsunutých sudetských Němců, a to v případě Broumovska. Děje se tak na základě analýzy časopisů Braunauer Rundbrief, Das Braunauer Land, Zwischengestern und Morgen, Braunauer Heimattag a Braunscher Heimatkalendar. Interpretace někdejších událostí, ale výběr témat byl samozřejmě spjatý s měnící se geopolitickou situací ve střední Evropě od bezprostředně poválečných let až po současnost. Závisel ovšem i na přirozené generační výměně. Periodika související s Broumovskem vydávaná ve Spolkové republice Německo v tomto smyslu mají obdobný charakter, jako řada jiných Sudetoněmeckých krajanských tiskovin. Výrazným specifikem však je mimořádné angažmá komunity bratří z broumovského kláštera, kteří nalezli svůj domov v bavorském Rohr.

The article presents an attempt to reconstruct the view of the former homeland of the displaced Sudeten Germans in the Broumov region. This is based on an analysis of the magazines Braunauer Rundbrief, Das Braunauer Land, Zwischengestern und Morgen, Braunauer Heimattag and Braunscher Heimatkalendar. Interpretation of past events, but the choice of topics was, of course, related to the changing geopolitical situation in Central Europe from the immediate post-war years to the present. But it also depended on natural generation exchange. Periodicals related to the Broumov region published in the Federal Republic of Germany in this sense have a similar character as a number of other Sudeten German compatriots. A distinctive feature, however, is the extraordinary engagement of the Broumov monastery community who found their home in the Bavarian Rohr.
