Předkládaná publikace je určena pro studenty sociální práce a pracovníky, kteří vykonávají sociální práci na různých úrovních. Zároveň se předpokládá, že mezi čtenáři se budou vyskytovat osoby, které se zajímají o principy a filozofii sociální práce především z touhy po vědění. Cílem této publikace není nabídnout vyčerpávající informace o teoriích a metodách sociální práce, ale spíše přiblížit tuto problematiku, nabídnout shrnující nebo nové pohledy na sociální práci a její umístění v kontextu sociální politiky a života jednotlivců, rodin nebo komunit. Text a zpracování mají vést k utváření vlastního názoru na sociální práci, k přemýšlení o ní a ujasnění si svých osobních postupů, které čtenář v práci používá nebo mu jsou blízké.

The presented publication is intended for social work students and workers who perform social work at various levels. At the same time, it is assumed that there will be people among the readers who are interested in the principles and philosophy of social work, primarily out of a desire for knowledge. The aim of this publication is not to offer comprehensive information on theories and methods of social work, but rather to approach this issue, to offer summary or new perspectives on social work and its location in the context of social policy and the lives of individuals, families or communities. The text and processing should lead to the formation of one's own opinion on social work, to thinking about it and to clarifying one's personal procedures that the reader uses at work or are close to him.
