The government of Vladislav II. Jagelonský in the lands of the Czech Crown is a traditional view of Czech historiography to see what the government of a weak monarch, who found it difficult to assert himself on the map of power at the time and often had to make a number of concessions to the states, weakening his position. The so-called great privilege from 1498, which became the basic document of the Silesian states at the beginning of the early modern period, is also interpreted in a similar way. In this paper, I will focus primarily on the creation of the institution of the Prince's Court (Ober- und Fürsten-Recht), which in the opinion of many researchers Vladislav II. he left a significant part of the royal rights to the Silesian princes - especially the right to judge and decide disputes between Silesian landowners, whether their disputes, disputes with the townspeople or with the monarch himself. One of the basic questions I will be looking for answers to is - as Vladislav II. entered into the conflicts of the Silesian princes before 1498 and what changes in this area brought the said privilege and the creation of the princely court? Did Vladislav's approach to Silesian princes and their disputes differ from previous Czech monarchs? And finally, what were the real tools of the Czech monarchs in assessing the disputes in the Silesian principalities?
