Agricultural Radio aimed to bring the rural areas closer to the city, to the economic and cultural centres, which was done by simultaneous news broadcasts. In the concept of regional broadcasting, requirement took practi- cally the form of a thematic orientation towards gardening and small domestic animal breeding, i.e. activities popular among workers in the industrial areas of Silesia, especially in the Ostrava region. Compared to other agricultural radios, the use of dialects was completely specific. At the same time, Agricultural Radio Opava / Ostrava was connected with the activities of the Office of Public Procurement, economic associations managed by this Office, and it also reflected the demands of farmers. The Radio also mediated other topics to its listeners, the subject of which was, for example, the history of the region, family issues, ethics, hygiene, etc. It was also involved in the birth of reports and the pioneering use of broadcasting in the organizational work of economic associations. The connection with the agrarian party and related organizations is also essential. It is indisputable that Agricultural Radio accomplished its main mission in terms of dissemination of progress in rural areas. In Silesia, it had a positive effect on the activities of farmers, small farmers and breeders.
