Abstract
This paper aims to answer the question of the impact of EU law on the liability of public authorities in the Czech Republic. The impact of Europeanization will be demonstrated on the compensation for non-material damage of legal persons in the case of state liability. Furthermore, it will be also demonstrated the impact on the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union in the field of liability for non-material damage before the Court of Justice of the EU. The main method used is the analysis of decision-making practice and relevant literature. The method of using a computerized search of the CJEU database was also used. In conclusion, the decision-making practice of the CJEU fundamentally influences the liability of public authorities. Finally, the injured party and the courts should apply the principles set out in the case-law of the Court of Justice of the EU and the ECHR in their actions and judgements. Europeanization is strong in this area.
