The presented monograph tries to place the knowledge gained during the implementation of the project in the overall context of the development of social services in the past 30 years and, on this basis, subsequently to outline the necessary changes, the implementation of which could contribute to the social services becoming in the following years, the most dynamically developing sector of the national economy. An evaluation of the development of social services in recent years shows that the Act on Social Services, which was adopted in 2006, due to the set funding rules and changes that were adopted in the following years also in the area of their organization, slowed down the dynamic development of social services from previous years.
