The sixth monography of the series continues to delineate and define the role of dramaturges as a crucial part of artistic activity in audio-visual arts and across other artistic disciplines. This year, we open the book with a text that reacts to the current unfavourable economic situation of Czech Television – a public service medium, which is not only an institution that is supposed to provide objective and independent news reports but also to develop the cultural identity of the people of the Czech Republic, and through its work participates in the expansion of the national cultural heritage and is a significant supporter of Czech film production. We also present readers with an insight into the creations of the Ostrava television studio or Czech Television's iVysílání (similar to iPlayer). We also dedicate space to audio, specifically podcasts. Traditionally, we also focus on the pedagogical aspects of education for dramaturgy. This time, we offer a case study of the development of a successful film essay and an analysis of the possibilities of conflict montage. The book closes with texts focused on the role of dramaturgy in areas connecting various artistic and creative disciplines. We deal with performance and revitalization of empty spaces.
