Abstract
Oncological disease is one of the most dreaded diseases that brings fear with it. Fear of treatment, fear of the consequences of oncological disease, fear of death and, of course, negatively affects the personality of its wearer. It is important to realize that in many cases, even after the end of the treatment, there will always be the threat of relapse or worsening of the original disease, or of the lifelong consequences of the primary disease and its side effects. The authors of the paper point to the fact that an individual with an oncological disease, due to the nature of the disease, due to the increased tendency to its recurrence, due to the impact of the disease and its treatment on the individual's personality and, of course, in a certain period of life, also possible consequences for his education, belongs to research areas of special pedagogy.
Abstract (in Czech)
Onkologické ochorenie je jedným z najobávanejších ochorení, ktoré so sebou prináša strach. Strach z liečby, strach z následkov onkologického ochorenia, strach zo smrti a samozrejme negatívne ovplyvňuje osobnosť svojho nositeľa. Je dôležité uvedomiť si, že v mnohých prípadoch, aj po ukončení liečby však bude vždy prítomná hrozba recidívy či zhoršenia pôvodného ochorenia, alebo celoživotných následkov primárneho ochorenia a jeho vedľajších účinkov. Autorky príspevku poukazujú na skutočnosť, že jednotlivec s onkologickým ochorením, vzhľadom na charakter choroby, vzhľadom na zvýšený sklon k jej recidíve, vzhľadom na vplyv choroby a jej liečby na osobnosť jednotlivca a samozrejme v istom období života aj možných dôsledkov na jeho edukáciu, patrí do oblasti skúmania špeciálnej pedagogiky.
