With the development of new technologies, their usage possibilities are gradually developing. The metaverse environment is one of them. It is envisaged that the metaverse will be a suitable combination of the physical and online worlds, with virtual reality providing a unique space for many different activities. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to explore the possibilities of the metaverse from the perspective of general consumers and to investigate whether the popularity of different activities varies according to selected segmentation factors. This is focused on prese nting suitable domains within the new market opportunities for companies that are considering expanding their activities into the metaverse.
