Abstract
In English
From the perspective of technological changes, the overall process of digital transformation in society defines the competencies of the future not only for the labour market, but also requires changes in educational processes at universities. The aim of the contribution is to map the basic changes in competences at a general level, but also to outline the key factors of how modern information and communication technologies will change the process of teaching and preparing students so that they acquire information and data literacy. Information literacy requires the support of critical thinking and, as today's world is dependent on data, also competences that enable valid data not only to be analysed, but also to be interpreted correctly. The benefit of the contribution will be the analytical mapping of different perspectives on this issue with a focus on improving the digital competences of students at universities by using the critical evaluation of scientific information and data obtained from global networks, which they will creatively use in solving assigned problems with the support of technology and compliance with cyber security rules.
