Detailed Information on Publication Record

This paper will focus on fitness words collected from the US and British issues of the Woman’s Health Magazine and will further provide a corpus-based analysis of the frequency of distribution, timeline of usage, and different word forms used in the United States and Great Britain. The data will be drawn from the British National Corpus, the Corpus of Historical American English, and the Corpus of Global Web-Based English. The main prominence will be placed on the historical milestones of selected fitness terminology and on the origin and development from their early beginnings.
